Want to add an item from Amazon, Grainger, or CDW to Fairmarkit in 1-click? Here's How:
Fairmarkit is proud to introduce the 1-click RFQ. A buyer can now add an item from some of the largest supplier websites with one click using our Fairmarkit chrome plug-in.
Often buyers use large, marketplace websites to source items. It can be cumbersome to copy and paste the information from these sites into Fairmarkit. Now, with our extension, the buyer can click the extension on the item page they wish to send out for bid, and have a drafted requisition ready in seconds.
To get started with installation, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
(Note: this extension only works for Google Chrome)
Once the plugin is installed, sign in via the "sign in" button on extensions tab. Now, the buyer can click the extension in the upper right-hand corner of the chrome window when viewing the item page being sourced. An example of an item being sourced from Amazon is below:
Click the Fairmarkit logo to the right of the URL bar when viewing the item, a computer mouse in this case, that needs to make its way to a drafted RFQ.
Once the extension has been clicked, a pop up will appear that will auto-populate the item details, including the name, manufacturer number, description, quantity, and price. If more than one of the items is desired, change the quantity to the desired number.
Click "Source on Fairmarkit" to create a drafted RFQ in the software.
After this is done, the pop up will inform the user that the RFQ has been created, it will provide a reference number, allowing the user to view the draft in Fairmarkit. If "View RFQ" is clicked, it will redirect the user to a draft in Fairmarkit.
The process from this point forward is exactly as it would be if the buyer were to click a drafted RFQ from within the software itself. Review the RFQ, adding closing dates and times, enter shipping information, attach files, and review vendor choices. The RFQ is now ready to be sent out to bid!
